About our Youth Equestrian Programs

Our History

Our Equestrian Facility Partners

Our 501 (c) 3 non profit organization "Nevada Young Riders" has been providing educational, training, and competition opportunities to our Nevada youth equestrian athletes since 1997. We promote the United States Pony Club (USPC) curriculum through our partnership with the Blue Ribbon USPC certified riding center. We offer competitive team riding opportunities through the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA). We are a community partner with Clark County School District, and provide community service hours to CCSD students who volunteer for our organization.

Our riding coaches provide lessons at a number of facilities around the LasVegas valley. For example: Blue Ribbon facilities are located off the 215 and Jones at 6325 Guy Ave Las Vegas, NV 89131. In Boulder City we have a coach located at 1 Corral Rd, Boulder City, NV 89005, plus we have riding opportunities at many other privately owned equestrian facilities. Nevada Young Riders

Nevada Young Riders is a non-profit organization that supports youth equestrian athletes at all levels. For those exceptional equestrian athletes, this program leads to competition opportunities at FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC). NAYC is open to jumping athletes FEI ages 12-21 and dressage athletes FEI ages 14-25. The Championships provide exciting opportunities for youth athletes to gain valuable team experience in an FEI competition environment and is considered an important steppingstone for equestrians who aspire to represent the U.S. on the international stage in their future senior careers. Nevada Youth Equestrian Teams

Our Nevada youth equestrian team members participate in competitive riding in both dressage and hunter/jumper disciplines. Some of our most recent competition venues have included: Galway Horse Park, Desert International Horse Park, Rancho Murietta Equestrian Center, Kentucky Horse Park, Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Del Mar Horse Park, Horseman's Park, The Oaks, Cottonwood Farms, Blue Ribbon riding facility. Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Dressage & Hunt Seat Teams

Our IEA Dressage & Hunt Seat Teams are invitation-only traveling teams for experienced riders in grade 4-12. This national organization offers a "switch-rider" format for competitions. https://www.rideiea.org. The host team provides horses for each competition, so during the regular competition season, horses do not need to be trailered to the various competition sites.

For the 2026-2027 competition season we will field teams for both high school and middle school in Dressage and Hunt Seat. We are part of IEA Hunt Seat zone 10, Region 1 and travel to hunt seat competitions in California near San Diego, San Juan Capistrano, Bonsall, and Moorpark, For dressage we are part of IEA Dressage zone 6, Region 2 and our regular season competitions are held at TES riding center on the grounds of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank California and MZ Equestrian Center in Vista California. Our post season regional and zone competitions for 2026-2027 for both disciplines will be held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank California. Our IEA national finals will be held in April 2027 at Tryon Equestrian Center in South Carolina.

United States Pony Club Certified Riding Center

We are affiliated with the Blue Ribbon certified riding center of the United States Pony Club. This program is open to riders of all levels. It is not primarily a riding program, but a program that focuses on horsemanship using the USPC horsemanship curriculum. Riders advance through certification ratings as they gain greater and greater proficiencies. For more information about USPC programs, visit www.ponyclub.org
